I actually came up with the name on my way home from work. My Dad, Mom, and I were having a chat about expensive food dishes, and then I mentioned how Paella is hella expensive because of the saffron powder needed to prepare the dish.
And then it hit me, "Wait……Saffron....Saffron's a color! SAFFRON IS A COLOR OH MY GOSH!!!! AND MY NEWEST RWBY OC IS SIENNA COGSWORTH! SHE COULD BE THE "S" IN SFRN!!! YYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES! FINALLY!"

COME ON LADIES AND GENTS! I'VE GOT TWO SPOTS TO FILL!

It's been about 6, maybe 7, months since I've put off freelancing because of my newly acquired job. Unfortunately since this job is necessity-based, I barely have the time to draw anything. If I ever do, it's mostly half-assed doodles–––– Nothing serious. Anyway, so I've been on hiatus for a bit, but hopefully I'll be able to start up again during late November. I've got a few things in mind that I want to work on. Plus, I've decided to take up writing as a hobby (inspired by ).


I'm also looking to get back into 3d modeling this late fall/early winter. Do you know how long it's been since I've modeled anything? THREE YEARS! So, I really want to get back to that, and this time with Blender. Besides, I have a f***-ton of projects in mind that I have yet to work on. The first, being my oc Andy, followed by my favorite Twitter characters (Yes, I'm looking at you, ).

I hope to get skilled enough to make video clips, and such. That would be a dream-come-true!!! <3

Have you ever been angered to the point where you could just cry? I'm kind of feeling that way right now. The reason why, though, is more for other artists than for myself.

Here's what happened:
I was searching through the profile of one of my favourite artists (known for their great taste in men), and found a comment saying that they found a news article that wrote about said artist. I got curious, so I decided to check it out. The article had featured this artist's delicious Disney genderbend art pieces. I thought it was great… until I scrolled down to the comments. People were giving my favourite artist so much bullshit over their work! Some of the comments that infuriated me were: "How come they all look so effeminate? I can't support this sort of role model for my son. "
"All I see are Anime inspired men; lame."
"They were all turned into homosexual anime males lol"

Of course they look effeminate, dumbasses! They were made to appeal to women! I bet you wouldn't have said that if they were women, though!

Is that why people put stuff up on the internet these days? To get judged and told what's wrong with it? If you think you can draw these better, do it. I don't think the artist put these on here in order to get your approval!!

And I'm thinking now, "Is this what I'll have to deal with?"

As a woman and an artist, I feel like this is really unfair! I am constantly bombarded with pictures of women in sensual poses, naked, bound, gagged, and manipulated to fit some fetish. And that's just on DeviantArt alone! And people let this go on as if it were considered art. Not only does this make me uncomfortable, but it makes me feel helpless.

Is that how the world wants to see me? Do I not have value because I'm a woman?

However, when the roles are reversed, suddenly it's wrong, ugly, degrading, and stupid. That is unfair!
I'm a female artist! Show us some value, decency, and respect! I don't care if you're a male artist or female artist, I am fucking tired of seeing the sack of shit you call "artwork." Either rethink before you post it, or learn to take it up the arse when the roles are reversed.
Oh, you're uncomfortable with pictures of feminine men in slutty outfits, bound, and gagged? Well, shut the fuck up and taste your own damned medicine!! Here! Why don't I draw some more for you?!

You know, sometimes, it's fucking mindless pricks like them that just make me hate this site entirely! No, worse! They make me hate the entire world! It's people like this that make me want to watch the world burn.

I have this problem……

I have an extremely awesome idea, and I may or may not need someone's help. But I'm afraid that if I share my idea, I'll get lazy and NOT do it. I keep having that problem, and I don't know how to fix it.


Anyway, I need your opinion.

Should I share my idea (and risk not finishing it at all) or should I keep quiet about it until its finished?

Since my Autodesk license is expiring soon, and I'm too broke to renew it, I decided to pick the best alternative–– Blender! This, though, comes with a couple of problems:

1. Having to relearn everything, since Blender's UI is so clean and I'm so used to the heavy clutter of Maya. I remember opening up Blender for the first time in years, and just staring at it with the most blank and confused expression on my face when I saw its simplicity.

2. Renew the way I learn. I say this because I'm used to structured lessons based off of the software learning curve. Blender's holy grail, Blender Guru, doesn't have that. It's just a bunch of tutorials. Amazing tutorials, though!

On another note, I want to create a 3d model of my crest-thing. But in order to do it right, I have to micro-bevel.

…………How do I bevel that? Ō ^ Ō



Note: The one 3D modeling book I swear by: [ digital ] MODELING by William Vaughan. It's not software biased, so any modeler can apply what they've learned from this book into whatever modeling software they use. I recommend 100%!
